Stealth Series™ S-670 to X-Series™ X-880 Upgrade
Hamar Laser offers a professional upgrade service for Stealth Series™ S-670 3-Axis Laser Shaft Alignment Systems, transforming them into fully functional X-Series™ X-880 5-Axis systems. This process modernizes both the hardware and software, providing users with enhanced precision, expanded capabilities, and access to the latest alignment technology.
Background
The S-670 shares its outer shell and several hardware features with the S-680/X-880, including Dual Beam™ laser technology (as opposed to the Dual Fan™ laser used in the S/X-660). However, the S-670 is a 3-Axis system, requiring head rotation during “Step 5: Move and Shim” and lacking access to the Uncoupled Swipe Mode app available on the 5-Axis S-680/X-880.

Upgrade Process
The upgrade converts the T-1285 3-Axis target (S-670) into a T-1290 5-Axis target (S-680/X-880). For the upgrade, the following components must be shipped to Hamar Laser:
Target head
Laser head
Current tablet (if applicable) – must have at least 8 GB of RAM
Included in the Upgrade
Replacement or updating of internal components
New batteries
New external overlays
Recalibration with certificate
New serial number
New security key
The Final Result
After the process, the system is returned as a fully functional, updated X-Series™ X-880 5-Axis System with all applicable applications installed, ready for precision alignment work with enhanced efficiency and reliability.
